Advisor- RESTART, Fulltime 37 hours per week

We are looking for a committed, experienced and qualified Advisor to work within the Council’s Employment, Learning and Skills division. The successful candidate will provide quality information, advice and guidance to unemployed Halton residents.
Working under the direction of the one of the Service Managers, you will work within a small team providing a bespoke employment support service for unemployed and/or vulnerable people with health conditions who have been referred to the DWP Restart Programme, assisting them in seeking, obtaining and sustaining employment.
You will manage a diverse caseload of adults and take responsibility for maximising the turnover of individual appointments to ensure participants are fully supported and that efficiencies and income generation are maximised. You will utilise a multi-channel platform (digital, video, telephone) to provide participants with the choice of how, when and where they engage.
You will guide and advise participants from the beginning of their employment journey, applying employment assessment tools to determine a bespoke package of support for the individual. The post will involve planning and delivery of Job Hubs, Interview Skills and CV workshops. You will be required to develop personal knowledge of CV writing styles and effective interview preparation techniques.
You will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of specialist organisations and their functions, both within and outside of the borough, supporting and signposting participants to appropriate support services (e.g. addictions, debt advice, business start-up), and ensuring details are kept up to date on the CRM and bespoke IT systems.
