Halton Council’s Environmental Health Team operate alongside Public Health as part of an integrated Public Health and Protection department. We are seeking to recruit a qualified Environmental Health Officer to work as part of the Food and Health & Safety Team undertaking all duties relating to food safety, standards, health & Safety, infectious diseases and public health.

You will also contribute to the boroughs continued response to the COVID 19 pandemic assisting with outbreak management, workplace safety and contact tracing as required.

 You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and  be an Environmental Health Officer possessing a Certificate of Registration of The Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB), or equivalent. You will have experience of the statutory processes involved in enforcement of regulatory requirements in particular food and health and safety enforcement and recent experience in the Inspection of food premises in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice and application of the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme Brand Standard.
