Residential Child Care Worker

Are you enthusiastic, motived and child focused, do you have experience working with children and young people. If your answer is yes then we would like to invite you to apply to join our Residential Team at Inglefield Short Break Children’s Home.

Inglefield is a well-established local authority children’s home providing short term overnight residential breaks for children and young people with disabilities, complex behaviours and health care needs. The home is based in Runcorn and is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We pride ourselves on delivering a high quality service in an environment that is enjoyable, stimulating and assists children and young people to achieve their potential within the community and have fun.

We have 3 x 20 hours positions available. The role is Residential Child Care Worker and the successful candidate will be directly involved in promoting and fulfilling the emotional, physical, social, education and welfare needs of our children and young people. 

It is desirable that you have a relevant childcare qualification at Level 3 or above and have experience of working with children and young people in a care setting, preferably children with disability and within a residential environment.

Applicants please note hours are on a rota basis, this involves some early mornings, evenings and weekend working and there is a requirement to do sleep-in duties for which an additional enhancement is paid. Please also note personal care is a requirement of the role.

Appointment is subject to enhanced DBS clearance and references.
