We are looking to recruit to a number of Casual Driver/Attendants within the Client Transport Section of the Enterprise, Community and Resources Directorate.
The roles will be on a casual basis, this means that we will have no obligation to provide work and there is no obligation on the casual worker to accept work. However it would be expected that there is a commitment to provide a reasonable flexibility of availability for the important service the Authority provided.
The service operates from Monday to Friday and generally the area of work is split to a morning and afternoon shift of between 2 and 3 hours.
The job responsibilities involve the driving of the Authority’s fleet of Accessible Transport vehicles and the supporting role of an attendant to care for Special Education Needs Children and Vulnerable Adults throughout the transport process. The majority of collection and drop off points are within the Borough of Halton, there may also be a requirement from time to time to travel outside the Borough in one of our small fleet of cars.
Applicants should note that the successful candidates will be asked to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure.
You will need to be physically fit, caring, patient, and possess a current D1 driving licence. Training will be provided to suitable candidates
