We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in delivering high quality strategic planning and commissioning, alongside experience of family finding for children and young people who are unable to live with their own family. We are looking for an individual who can provide inspirational, inclusive and engaging leadership within the service, ensuring that best value and ethical commissioning is at the heart of what we do.

Presence in the office is vital for this role; you will be a key leader in the organisation and relationship-based practice is essential to support our continued development and critical decision making for our children.

You will be confident in leading creative planning and development of data performance, recording systems and managing diverse teams in a proactive manner to achieve consistent high practice standards.

You’ll be incredibly passionate about the challenges and ambitions in consistently safeguarding children & young people in Halton to thrive and to be safe, happy, successful and healthy.

 

About the role

 

You will develop and maintain effective multi-agency partnerships, demonstrating your in-depth knowledge of commissioning and placements. As a member of the Children’s leadership team, you will ensure that all commissioning work is interconnected with wider Children’s, organisational, local, regional and national priorities and in line with joint strategic needs analysis and applicable governance requirements.

You will focus upon outcomes for children and young people within the available budget and have experience of engaging and involving the public/ service users/ people with lived experience in the review and development of services.

The role will involve working with senior managers across Early Help, Health, Youth, Children’s Social Care and Education/Inclusion to provide a holistic commissioning service and improve outcomes for our children and young people.

To ensure the best value and highest quality services for our Children and Young People of Halton, you will lead the commissioning of services and resource allocation to drive change, securing improved outcomes for children and young people to meet the needs of children across Halton including services for CYP with SEND; children looked after and care leavers.
