Halton Borough Council  Contact Centre –  Job Share Contact Centre Advisor 18.5 hours per week Worked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - HBC 5 £21,589 to 23,836 Pro Rata

 

Please see attached rota for full details of shift patterns. Note Contact Centre Advisors are contracted to work on a rota’d basis covering the hours 7.45am – 6.15pm Monday to Wednesday. The rota is attached.

 

Halton Borough Council’s Customer Contact Centre Advisors will be trained to deliver the whole range of Council Services to customers including Council Tax, Benefits, Adults and Children’s Social Care and Waste Management.

 

You will have extensive customer service experience, preferably within a contact centre as a good telephone manner is essential. This role will deal with speaking to members of the public and providing excellent levels of customer care on every call. The queries are varied in nature and you will deliver a wide range of council knowledge and services over the phone. 

You will also need to use IT systems while speaking with customers.

 

The Centre is also the alarm receiving Centre for Halton's Telehealthcare Service so Advisors will also be required to handle calls on the Emergency Lifeline system. You will require the ability to quickly recognise and deal with customer needs in a calm and efficient manner. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to remain calm in an emergency situation.  Full training will be provided to the successful candidate to enable them to deal all calls received into the contact centre.

 

The position will be based at the Contact Centre at Municipal Building’s on Kingsway, Widnes.

 

together Ideally you will be experienced in the delivery of one or more of the Council’s major services and be used to working in a team environment.

 

Applicants for the post should be computer literate, have excellent keyboard skills and have experience of using Microsoft Office products.
