An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Corporate Caretaking Team for an enthusiastic, reliable, honest and hard working individual to join our team of Corporate Caretakers.
The role will be based at both Runcorn Town Hall and Municipal Building, but a wider caretaking service is provided by the team throughout the councils property portfolio. An outline description of the main duties include securing and opening premises, delivery of goods between buildings, small office moves, janitorial type repairs and relamping. The team work a rota system which changes monthly covering operational hours of 06:15 to 19:15 as a minimum.
The post is graded at HBC 3 scp 05-06 yielding a salary of £18,795 to £19,171 per annum. Other benefits include final salary pension scheme, a generous annual leave entitlement and shift allowance.
Candidates must be enthusiastic, proactive, trustworthy, capable of working under your own initiative, a good time keeper, a good communicator, have a good general knowledge of DIY and be happy to work in a small team. A uniform along with appropriate PPE will be provided. In addition you must be able to travel around the borough.
