Halton Libraries is an innovative, successful service at the heart of the local community. We deliver key reading, health, learning, information, digital and culture offers, clubs and activities, access to digital resources, outreach, and a thriving events programme. We have seen an increase in our issues and visitor numbers over the past 12 months and are looking to further improve this through delivering a relevant, creative and resourceful service.
As Library Outreach Assistant you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Outreach Officer to expand the reach of libraries; working on exciting, innovative projects to engage with the communities across Halton. You will also be the key co-ordinator for our popular Home Library Service; liaising with customers to meet their needs, promoting the Home Library Service offer, and doing home visits to meet new and prospective service users.
You will be committed to the role of public libraries in society, have experience delivering excellent customer service to a wide range of people in a public-facing role. You will enjoy working flexibly, as part of a collaborative team, and will have a positive outlook to service development and change.
This role will be based across Halton Libraries with travel to other locations across the Borough and Region as required.
