We are interested in hearing from those who work with children or young people and their families and want to join the Children in Care and Care Leavers team here in Halton as a Personal Advisor.

As a Personal Advisor, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting Care Leavers post 18 and supporting them pre 18 alongside their social worker. You will build working relationships with the young people in order to support them as they transition into adulthood. Within the Personal Advisor role, you will be responsible for managing your own diary around the needs of the young people you work with. You will support young people to navigate health services, education provision and housing services to name but a few. This will include chairing meetings, devising Pathway Plans, attending appointments with young people and working with partner agencies.

For the successful candidate we offer a comprehensive training package, up to 33 days holiday, a flexible working week and free parking.

To apply for this post you must have experience of working with children and young people and ideally have experience of working with children in care and care leavers. In addition, this post is subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
